Congratulations soon-to-be Johns Hopkins University graduates!

Commencement will find all master's students wearing purchased regalia made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles! Fewer plastic bottles will be choking our landfills because for every JHU student walking at commencement, an average of 23 plastic bottles was used to manufacture their cap and gown.

In the effort to remain green on campus, the line of graduation wear - named GreenWeaver - is made of fabric spun from molten plastic pellets. With some 60 million plastic bottles going into U.S. landfills every day, JHU is helping to turn trash into keepsakes.

Doctoral Graduates walk in official Johns Hopkins University regalia, available as a purchase or rental.

For those students staying in academia, purchasing official Johns Hopkins University regalia allows you to show your school pride by wearing this new regalia at ceremonies where you may be on the faculty.

Important dates:
Graduation date: May 23, 2018
Last day to order: April 6, 2018

Caps and gowns will be available for pickup from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, and 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 10 in the Edward D. Miller Research Building, Room 181.  If you are unable to pick up the items in person, please send someone to pick them up for you.

Attention doctoral students renting your regalia.   You must return your tam and gown following the last ceremony you attend (either at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall if only attending the SOM ceremony or at the Royal Farms Arena if also attending the University-wide ceremony).

All rental items are coded. The Oak Hall representative will be there to verify the return of all items. Students will be charged $900 for items not returned by May 25.
